ABOUT US
The Muttaburra Stock Show is much more than just an event it is an EXPERIENCE.
Each year the show day provides a unique opportunity for graziers and community
members to gather in a professional and social environment embracing everything rural.
The show day encompasses high class competition, displays, a distinguished
luncheon, a valuable shopping experience with high-end fashion markets,
evening entertainment and much more.
The Muttaburra Stock Show Society is a committee of sincere, hard working
members who play an integral role in making an annual show that is renowned
around the district for showcasing high quality fine wool, sheep & cattle.
They strive to promote their fine products and the local industry alike.
Sheep, Wool and Cattle Displays
The Muttaburra Stock Show Sheep, Wool and Cattle displays aim to showcase the best the Western Queensland region has to offer through competition where by exhibitors can showcase their hardworking endeavours and receive industry relevant feedback and benchmarking. Classes and sections of each of the competitions are constantly reviewed so as to allow the fairest of opportunities for each relative exhibitor whilst judges of the highest calibre are sought from within the industry both locally and interstate. The most astute of sheep and cattle people right through to the very beginner will be able to witness the passion and innovation of many great graziers whilst gaining new information to further their own knowledge. After more than 50 years of the show’s existence the Sheep, Wool and Cattle displays remain the backbone of the show and continue to be a tribute to these wonderful agricultural industries.
High-End Fashion, Food & Homewares
Each year at the show we are lucky enough to host a myriad of wonderful stores that bring their desirable wares set out inside a dressed pavilion. Given the geographical location of Muttaburra, to have so many excellent stores at once is a real treat for the keen shopper. From homemade, bespoke jewellery, antiques, homewares, rugs, art pieces and much more. This is where many unique pieces can be find and treasured forever. Stick around in the afternoon to see some local sorts modelling on the catwalk to display some of the pieces for sale.
Marquee Luncheon
The Muttaburra Stock Show Marquee Luncheon offers a fabulous afternoon featuring delicious, gourmet food and drinks. Be part of the fantastic atmosphere the marquee has to offer whilst catching up with friends and enjoying a cold glass of champagne or beer.
ENTERTAINMENT
We have a unique entertainment experience for show goers that is ever changing.
Each year the entertainment for the show is sourced for crowd pleasing benefits. This keeps things exciting and fresh for our annual visitors.
From local singers, stage productions, Childrens entertainers to full bands, there is something for the whole family.
